Intel’s Nehalem-EX 8-core processor will launch this march
Intel is prepairing to launch their fastest and higly expected 8-core Neahalem -Ex processor .Well you are thinking that what to do with 8-core processor and yes you are right this intel processor is server kind and is a great news for server owners and it will launch within this march and it will be the fastest processor till the date as told by Intel’s Xeon Platform director , Shannon Poulin.
This processor will be targeted at four -socket servers the each physical core can be able to rin two thread st a time, powering the chip 64 virtual processing cores on the servers.
This processor is made from 45 -nm process ,with memory controller to improve system speed by cutting its data bottlenecks as earlier intel’s processor apart from this chip will also powered with seperate buffered memory chips to store data temporarily alongside the main memory for faster execution of tasks.
A look on Nehalem-EX 8-core chips.

Intel Nehalem Architecture buil on Intel’s unique 45nm high-k metal gate technology process
- Up to 8 cores per processor
- Up to 16 threads per processor with Intel Hyper-threading
- Scalability up to eight sockets via Quick Path Interconnects and greater with third-party node controllers
- QuickPath Architecture with four high-bandwidth links
- 24MB of shared cache
- Integrated memory controllers
- Intel Turbo Boost Technology
- Intel scalable memory buffer and scalable memory interconnects
- Up to 9x the memory bandwidth of previous generation
- Support for up to 16 memory slots per processor socket
- Advanced RAS capabilities including MCA Recovery
- 2.3 billion transistors
